C#, networking, machine learning, multithreading

I've decided to take up learning more about C# and a few other topics that I feel would be important to learn. I purchased this book that is sold over at amazon.com called "C# 4.0 in a nutshell". It covers a wide range of topics including networking and multithreading. Machine learning is somthing I feel would be interesting to learn and implement into an application. One of the hardest parts about finding being a Software Developer is figuring out a good idea for a piece of Software. I had a good idea for a IPhone game and its still in development but finding a good idea for a Windows application may take a bit of time to figure out. On other side notes of things to talk about, I felt quite disturbed at how FIFA judges their games...Mostly on the part that they dont allow video replays to be helpful in judging fouls and offsides and like Kaka's red carding he received. Hopefully they can make changes to the way they judge so itll be more fair, and less people pretending they are hurt just to make the other team get penalized.
